The Wisconsin DNR expects an official wolf season to begin next fall.
The gray wolf is scheduled to be delisted in January which will allow hunting and trapping seasons in Wisconsin to resume. The delisting also returns management responsibilities to the states and tribes. Right now the plan is to begin official wolf hunting season in early November.
