WI Coronavirus Cases Continue to Fall, PPE Efforts Continue

It is the latest sign that Wisconsin’s coronavirus numbers are falling. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported that there are 19-hundred-99 people in the hospital with the virus.

It is the first time in weeks that Wisconsin’s hospitalization numbers have dipped below two-thousand. There are still 438 people in the ICU, and another 13 people at Wisconsin’s overflow hospital at the state fairgrounds in West Allis.

Wisconsin has now shipped one million N95 masks to hospitals, care centers, and other frontline workers in the fight against the coronavirus.

Governor Evers made the announcement yesterday. The N95 masks are just part of the massive PPE program that Wisconsin’s Emergency Operations Center oversaw. The governor’s office says they also shipped over 16 million non-surgical face masks, over 30 thousand thermometers, and almost 300 thousand containers of hand sanitizer among other things.
