Money from the CARES Act will allow Governor Tony Evers to allocate millions of dollars to strengthen the healthcare system.
The governor announced today the disbursement of over 130-million-dollars to address healthcare worker shortages and create capacity in hospitals to handle the coronavirus crisis. The funding will also be used for skilled nursing facility staffing and for long-term care supplement programs.
