WI Ballot Count to Kick Off on Election Day

WI Ballot Count to Kick Off on Election Day

The ballot count will start right when the polls open on Election Day in Wisconsin.

Under state law, once election officials start the count, they have to continue until every last ballot is tallied.  They must also report some results to the county by 4 p.m. that day.  More than one-and-a-half-million absentee ballots have already been submitted and there are still five days to go.

All ballots turned in by 8 p.m. on November 3rd will be part of the count.
