This year’s fourth of July fireworks will be set off from Plank Hill in Eau Claire.
The City Council said Plank Hill was chosen for its elevation, so people all over the city could see the show, but some residents say it’s a dangerous spot for area homes and businesses.
A Change-dot-org petition is going around urging the City Council to move the fireworks show from the East Hill neighborhood to its traditional Carson Park location.
