There is no cure for the coronavirus, and no one is coming to your house to give you a test. That’s the warning from officials in Chippewa County after getting complaints of new coronavirus scams.
Chippewa Falls Police Chief Matthew Kelm says scammers are trying to target older people. He says people need to be very wary if they get a call or an email that asks for money. The chief says doctors and public health managers don’t ask for prepaid gift cards or bank account information.
