Police in Eau Claire think a spike in false calls to 911 is tied to people’s Apple watches.
Officers yesterday said the watches can easily mis-dial emergency services. Eau Claire’s 911 managers say they’ve seen over 120 false calls so far this year. If you do accidentally dial 911, police ask that you stay on the line to tell dispatchers that everything is okay.
