The YMCA is no longer part of the Sonnentag Center project.
The Y yesterday said it is pulling out of the joint partnership with UW-Eau Claire and Mayo Clinic Health System to build a new fitness complex. The Y’s Theresa Hillis says they will not agree to build what they cannot pay for.
UW Eau Claire and Mayo leaders say they will have to redesign the Sonnentag without the Y. That work will begin immediately.
