SNOW RECORDS PILING UP IN EAU CLAIRE

SNOW RECORDS PILING UP IN EAU CLAIRE

Forecasters say a band of bitter cold is going to settle-in and drop temperatures into the teens and single digits over the next couple of days. Today’s high will only be three-above. Tomorrow it will be just two-above. It warms-up again by Friday, but forecasters say it will get colder after that.

Eau Claire has set another snow record. Forecasters say this week’s snow pushed the city over 100 inches of snow for all of 2019.

The National Weather Service officially measures snowfall on a winter-by-winter basis, not a calendar year, so the record is unofficial. This year is Eau Claire’s snowiest calendar year since 1893. Recently, only 2013 was close, that year Eau Claire saw almost 84 inches of snow.
