MAN FACES FEDERAL CHARGES IN JACKSON CO. CRIMES

A Jackson County man is facing federal charges after drugs and a gun were reportedly found in his home.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says officers searched Victor Williams’ home in Melrose back in July and found fentanyl, marijuana, prescription drugs, thousands of dollars in cash, and a gun.  Williams was charged in federal court yesterday with being a felon in possession of a firearm and four drug counts.  He’s facing up to 30 years in prison.
