HIGH SPEED CHASE LEADS TO JAIL FOR MISSOURI MAN

A 44-year-old Missouri man was stopped for attempting to elude officers locally.

On Wednesday afternoon, just before 4:30 Lake Hallie Police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed south bound on CTH-P near 40th Avenue. The officer pursued the vehicle and the suspect increased his speed and traveled south on CTH-P to CTH-OO to Business 53 into Eau Claire where speeds topped 70 miles per hour.

Once in the City of Eau Claire the suspect vehicle started taking side streets. Due to the unsafe driving, the pursuit was terminated. At about 9:15pm, City of Eau Claire Officers located the suspect on Hamilton Avenue where he was taken into custody and transported to the Chippewa County Jail.

The suspect was identified as 44-year-old Jason Davis from Missouri. He was charged with Attempting to Elude an Officer, Reckless Driving and Operating while Revoked.
