STORIES FROM THE WATER

There is a new shipwreck to add to the lore of the Great Lakes.

Crews say they found what’s left of the S.R. Kirby off the coast of the Upper Peninsula in Lake Superior.  The ship sank in a storm in 1916, just two people survived.  The find will allow researchers to not only document the ship’s final resting place, but better tell the story and history of the lakes.
