SPEEDING LEADS TO 2ND OWI FOR WI WOMAN

A 48 year old woman picked up a 2nd offense OWI over the weekend.

It was a little before 8 on Friday night when a WI State Trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding in a 70 mph zone, on Interstate 94 in St. Croix County. A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Evelyn Sanders was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Sanders was arrested and transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary test of her blood and then to the St. Croix County Jail. She is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated – 2nd offense with a minor (age 10) in the vehicle.
