A scam involving paying for prayers is hitting Madison and South-Central Wisconsin.
Officials for SSM-St. Mary’s Hospitals in Madison and Janesville are concerned because the robocaller identifies themselves as from ‘St. Mary Prayer Center Ministry.’ SSM says it’s chaplin’s are available for patients without cost and ask anyone who gets a call from ‘St. Mary Prayer Center Ministry ‘ to hang up and call the Consumer Protection Bureau.
