CLOSS CELEBRATION CONTINUES

CLOSS CELEBRATION CONTINUES

The celebration continued this weekend as a church in Cameron is celebrating the return of Jayme Closs.  It was a full house at St. Peter Catholic Church in Cameron yesterday as members said prayers of thanks.  Church members said their strong and continuous prayers probably helped bring Jayme home.  That church is where Jayme had her first communion and attended Sunday school.  The church plans to hold a praise and gratitude service next Sunday as well, to honor the 13-year-old’s safe return.  The woman who rescued Jayme Closs says the stars were aligned on the Thursday afternoon Closs ran into her.

Jeanne Nutter said a series of small events before the walk through rural Gordon with her dog led her to be in the right place at the right time.  Nutter said she left home later than expected that day and ended up making a few stops before getting to her cabin.  Nutter, who is a social worker, said she was the perfect person to run into the distressed girl as she knows how to deal with children and remains calm in stressful situations.  Thirteen-year-old Jayme Closs is reunited with her family and her alleged kidnapper, 21 year old Jake Patterson, will appear in court today.
