The man charged with the 1975 murder of his wife in Door County is having his bond reduced in half.
Richard Pierce is charged with killing his wife Carol Jean, even though her body has never been found. Following her disappearance from Door County, Pierce moved to Michigan where he was arrested last month for her murder. Pierce was being held on a one-million-dollar cash bond, which was reduced to 500-thousand-dollars today.
