The Menomonie School Board is approving a budget that will lower the tax levy.
Residents in the school district are expecting to see their tax rate go down by over a dollar compared to last year’s rate. Menomonie also received an increase in state equalization aid this year and enrollment is up by over two percent. The superintendent says the levy is down due to wise decisions that made by the board in addition to the state aid increase.
