SENATOR BALDWIN CALLS FOR WORKER ENGAGEMENT

Senator Tammy Baldwin is calling on the Securities and Exchange Commission to consider implementing reforms to promote worker engagement.

Baldwin suggests giving workers a greater voice in public companies by allowing them to be elected as company board members.  Baldwin and a dozen Senate colleagues say research shows that company boards with worker representation make better resource allocation decisions.  The group of Senators wants the SEC to talk about the merits of directly electing workers to company boards.
