Some new badges on the payroll? That might be the case in Chippewa Falls as the Police Department is looking to add new officers.
They are asking the city council for money to add two full-time officers. Chippewa Falls currently has 23 officers, with 16 on patrol and the police chief says more officers are needed to meet the increasing number of calls in the growing city, and to avoid burnout.
