The wheels on the bus go round and round…for a little less now.
The City of Eau Claire is providing some relief for low-income transit riders as the council approved a measure last night to lower bus fares back to a dollar-fifty for low-income riders. Regular bus fare is a dollar-seventy-five. The new will go into effect July 1st.
And a side note, a new study just came out that said taking the bus may be good for your health-people who travel by bus are four times less likely to be injured than people who travel by car. Wheeeee!
